NEW DATE & TIME: Fox Presents: The Allman Betts Band
With Special Guests Marc Ford
and Jackson Stokes
After a successful year touring as The Devon Allman Project with special guest Duane Betts, the sons of Gregg Allman and Dickey Betts have joined forces to form The Allman Betts Band.
2019-20 marks their first tour — a worldwide adventure featuring new music, songs from their solo projects, and classic Allman Brothers and Gregg Allman tunes in honor of the 50th anniversary of The Allman Brothers Band. Their new album was recorded at the legendary Muscle Shoals Sound Studios and produced by Matt Ross-Spang (Jason Isbell, Margo Price, John Prine and Elvis Presley).
ALBUM REVIEW: “The Allman Betts Band is proof that sometimes blood lines matter. Centered around the progeny of three original members of The Allman Brothers Band, the group’s powerful debut album Down To The River… is arguably the first record of modern Southern Rock ever released. The Allman Betts Band is the next-generation real deal. Most acts trying to do this style now come off like tribute bands but these players have it in them from the chromosomes up. It’s what allows Allman, Betts, and Oakley to grow and stretch Southern Rock into today’s world in a way that’s authentic and personal. The album is stellar.” — Martine Ehrenclou, Rock and Blues Muse
CONCERT REVIEW: "With a name like the Allman Betts Band (ABB), the energized crowd were there to reminisce and hear tunes from one of the best southern blues-rock-country groups ever—the Allman Brothers. After the nearly two-hour-long set, it’s clear that this particular gene pool is brimming over with the same level of musical talent established by their namesakes." — Harry Cherkinian, Shepherd Express.
