Spokane String Quartet: Return to the Stage
The Spokane String Quartet returns to the concert stage with works by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Felix Mendelssohn. Mozart’s String Quartet No. 15 in D Minor, K. 421, is one of six he dedicated to Haydn and is considered among his most melodic. Mendelssohn’s Quartet in D Major was written as he emerged from the influence of Beethoven and demonstrated his own originality in style. Bridging the two pieces on the program is Novelleten by 20th century English composer Frank Bridge.
