Mozart On A Summer's Eve
Northwest BachFest will present Magical Musical Evenings for its 30th annual Mozart On A Summer's Eve, with two concerts in July on Tuesday, July 20 at 7pm with a repeat performance on Wednesday, July 21 at 7pm on the lawn East of the Duncan Gardens fountain in Manito Park. The concert site is just off Tekoa Street on the East side of Manito Park; Tekoa is parallel to Grand Boulevard. (Maps Address – 2124 S. Tekoa St. in Spokane)
The founder of the event, Verne Windham, will be honored by Northwest BachFest Artistic Director Zuill Bailey who is now programming these concerts.
BachFest is very excited to announce the following guest artists:
Matt Herskowitz, jazz piano
Richard Dowling, ragtime and classical piano
Shelly Watson, an amazing soprano known for spectacular costuming and dramatic hairdos, will display her talents as emcee as well as a performer.
Zuill Bailey, cello
Mozart On A Summer’s Eve concerts will have a completely new production setup this year. Limited numbers of tickets are available to avoid crowding.
- Ticket buyers bring their own lawn chairs or blankets
- No chair height restrictions on the open lawn; first come, first choice of spaces
- Area opens at 5:30pm
RESERVED TABLE SEATING: There are only a very few tables still available for Tuesday, July 20 as well as Wednesday, July 21. These are available only as full tables for eight people directly from BachFest.
$720 per table
LAWN SEATING: is also limited this year to avoid crowding. People are encouraged to set up their chairs an estimated six feet from other groups. If vaccinated, masks will be optional. All others will follow guidelines in place for outdoor events in July.
FRONT LAWN SEATING:
This area is on the usual North lawn in the concert area, an open area behind the limited number of reserved tables. Ticket holders bring their own lawn chairs or blankets. There are no height restrictions on the open lawn. For any who cannot provide their own lawn chairs, a limited number of folding chairs will be available if reserved in advance. Ushers will be available to assist.
$60 per person.

BACK LAWN SEATING:
This area is the lawn South of the gravel walkway. Ticket holders bring their own lawn chairs or blankets, and there are no height restrictions on the open lawn.
$40 per person.
The entire area will open at 5:30pm for pre-concert picnics in all of the seating areas. There is no catering service available, so all food and beverages will be that brought in by ticket holders.
