The Whitworth University Orchestra’s fall concert will feature the winners of the annual student concerto and composition competition, as well as the Northwest premiere of Professor Brent Edstrom’s “Prairie Songs” sung by tenor and faculty member Scott Miller, DMA.  The song cycle is based on Willa Cather’s novel My Ántonia.  The student concerto winners include Owen Foster playing Lalo’s Cello Concerto; Brenden Archer performing Ney Rosauro’s Marimba Concerto; Alexis Asato playing Mozart’s Piano Concerto in G, K. 453, and an original composition by Samson Irish-Lodge entitled Awujo.  The performance is conducted by Philip Baldwin, D.M.A.

Bag Policy

All bags (with the exception of clutches 6 1/2 by 4 1/2 inches) are subject to visual inspection by venue security.
Large bags are not allowed in The Fox, and must be checked in our Coat Check (located in the North Gallery) for the duration of the event.
