Create a Legacy

“Bob and I have been looking for ways to manage our assets sustainably as we age, not only to feel secure, but also to be able to leave a legacy for our heirs. We also wanted to find a way to bequeath our assets without putting a tax burden on our children. By including the Spokane Symphony in our legacy planning we can leave cash, stock, real estate, personal property and insurance policies. Attending Symphony concerts over the last 40 years has given Bob and me incalculable joy. Having the Spokane Symphony as part of our Estate Planning is a way we can give something of value in return long after we’re gone.”

INFORMATION FOR ENDOWMENT BENEFICIARY DESIGNATION FORMS (IRAS,  401KS/403BS, ETC.)

Endowments are designed to provide a permanent source of income by keeping the original amount invested and using the accrued income from dividends for its charitable purpose. Donations to the endowment mean the Symphony can depend on a reliable source of income, compete nationally for talent, maintain an extensive schedule of concerts, and extend our services to under-resourced people in our community.

Endowments are given to non-profit organizations with the intention that they be used to advance the mission of the organization for the long term.  Sustaining a well-funded endowment with the Spokane Symphony ensures ongoing financial support for the organization.
